When I was 10 years old, I had a green Kawasaki dirt bike. It was a small 80cc with short knobby tires, but I rode that bike for miles. We lived on a dirt road, so it was perfect for the dirt and the many surrounding trails through the woods. I even had a track around our house and would often pretend that I was racing with a microphone in my ear getting instructions from my team. It was a mean, green machine! Or at least I thought so at the time.

Thirty years later, when I was looking to buy a motorcycle, I found it only fitting that it would be another Kawasaki. But this time, a Ninja!! What a joy! It’s so much fun to hop on and explore the back roads of Texas. I’ve taken it through some pretty scenic places, including the Davy Crockett National Forest just north of Houston.

My old DJI Spark Drone had an active track – “Follow Me Mode” that allowed for some cool footage from the air. It was a little tricky to keep the bike in the sight of the drone, but I finally managed to figure it out.
I recently took a trip around Kingwood, Porter, and New Caney with the new GoPro 10 mounted to my helmet. The camera records in an excellent 4K resolution and I have to say, I’m very impressed with the upgrades GoPro has made over the years. I will always have love for a Kawasaki. Whether it’s a dirt bike or a street bike, their slogan will remain true. – “Let the Good Times Roll”
